Privacy Policy
Last updated October 14, 2026
This page describes what actually happens to your data when you use PDFSizeFit. It is written to match how the site's code behaves, not adapted from a generic template.
You can reach us through the contact form.
Summary
- Your PDFs and images are processed on your own device, in your browser. They are not uploaded to us or to anyone else.
- We don't use analytics, advertising, tracking scripts, or cookies.
- Like any website, our hosting provider receives standard technical information when your browser loads the site's pages — never your files.
- If you use the contact form, your name, email address, and message are sent to Web3Forms, the service that delivers the form to us by email.
- Your browser remembers two small preferences (your theme and your last target size). Neither contains anything from your documents.
Your files are processed on your device
Every tool on this site works the same way: when you choose a file, your browser reads it into its own memory and processes it right there, using code that was downloaded with the page. That covers compressing a PDF (including to a target size and in batches), merging, splitting, organizing pages, editing, converting JPG images to PDF, and converting a PDF to Word. There is no upload step and no processing server — the file's contents, its text, its filename, and any information derived from it are never sent over the network.
Your file's name is used only on your device: to show you which file you picked and to name the file you download (for example, report-compressed.pdf).
The result is created in your browser's memory, and when you click download, your browser saves it to your device. We never receive a copy of either your original file or the result. Both are discarded from memory when you start over, close the tab, or leave the page.
You can check this yourself: open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and use any tool. You'll see requests only for the site's own files, and none carrying your document.
What our web host receives
To show you this website, your browser has to request its pages and files (HTML, scripts, styles, fonts, and the code that processes PDFs) from our hosting provider. As with any website, those requests include standard technical information: your IP address, your browser and operating system (the "user agent"), the page or file requested, the page you came from (the "referrer"), and the date and time. Hosting providers typically keep this in server logs for security and troubleshooting, for a period set by the provider.
These requests never contain your documents, their names, or anything derived from them. We don't use this information to identify, track, or profile visitors, and we don't combine it with any other data.
Information stored in your browser
The site stores two small preferences in your own browser. They never leave your device and never contain your files, filenames, or anything from your documents:
- Theme (light, dark, or match your system) — kept in
localStorageso the site looks the way you chose on your next visit. It stays until you clear this site's data in your browser. - Last target size on the compression tools (for example, "500 KB") — kept in
sessionStorage, which your browser clears automatically when you close the tab.
Cookies
This site doesn't set any cookies.
Analytics and advertising
We don't currently use any analytics service, advertising network, or tracking script. If that changes, this page will be updated before the change goes live, and where the law requires your consent, we'll ask for it first. Nothing we add will ever receive your files, their names, or their contents.
Third parties
Apart from our hosting provider, the site loads nothing from other companies: no third-party scripts, fonts, or embeds. The fonts are bundled with the site itself. The one exception is the contact form, described below: only when you press "Send message" does your browser send what you typed into it to Web3Forms. No page loads anything from Web3Forms, and nothing from the PDF tools is ever sent there.
If you contact us
Contact form. When you send the form on the Contact page, your name, email address, and message are sent from your browser to Web3Forms, a form delivery service, which emails them to us. Web3Forms handles that information under its own privacy policy. The form never includes your files or anything from the PDF tools. Please don't put confidential documents or sensitive personal information in your message.
Email. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write.
Either way, we use what you send only to reply to you. We keep that correspondence only as long as needed to deal with your message, and you can ask us to delete it at any time. Like any email, your message is also stored by our email provider.
Children's privacy
This site isn't directed at children, and it doesn't collect personal information from anyone through its tools.
Your rights and how to raise a concern
The only personal information we can hold about you is what you send us through the contact form or by email, and the standard access logs our hosting provider keeps (described above). We never receive your files, so there's nothing about them to look up, correct, or delete.
You can ask us what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete our correspondence with you, through the contact form. Access logs are kept and deleted by our hosting provider under its own retention policy; we can't edit them ourselves, but we can pass your request on. Depending on where you live, data-protection law, such as India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, or the EU and UK GDPR, may give you further rights.
Please contact us first. If you're not satisfied with our reply, you can complain to the data-protection authority where you live: in India, the Data Protection Board of India; in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office; in the EU, your country's data-protection authority.
Changes to this policy
If what the site does with data changes, this page will change with it and the "Last updated" date above will show when.
