Reporting a problem with a file

If a tool fails or gives an unexpected result, it helps to tell us which tool you used, what you expected, what happened instead (including any message on screen), and which browser and device you were using.

Please don't attach the document itself if it contains anything personal or confidential. The site is built so that your files never reach us, and emailing one, or pasting its contents into the form, would defeat that. A description of the file (roughly how many pages, whether it's a scan, how large it is) is usually enough to investigate.
